Extraordinary Means.

I don’t know why I have this tendency to read books that destroy me. I need help.

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider.

Rating: 5/5.

Why am I like this? Why is Robyn so cruel, first of all?

So pretty much you get to love the main characters (Sadie and Lane). They’re awesome and they have a special connection that you can’t help but love.

Too bad they both have tuberculosis that is immune to any drug. The good thing is that there is a solution in the end. The bad thing is that not everybody can make it.

And this gives you such a bad vibe and your feelings pretty much go with the flow when you see them how strong they are and how they cope with it so well!

I love original ideas and people that like to do stuff in a different way and that describes miss Sadie pretty much. You get to love her and her mind.

You get to love it so much that you may end up yelling “NOOOO” and slam your book (or kindle in my case) and take a break and wipe the tears in your eyes. I hoped for a happy ending. SADIE DESERVED BETTER THO! I thought she would get better from that risky cure she took and she might make it another 2 weeks until the legit vaccines are coming in and everybody has a chance to live.

Lane was awesome. I loved how he wasn’t a drama queen after she died and it broke my heart just by reading that he imagined her in the line for the vaccine or he imagined helping her pack for leaving…

That’s just sad.

It was awesome. But horrific. But awesome. I loved it.

🎈You’ll float too🎈

Alright I guess I don’t need any special introduction for this after you’ve read the title since it’s been everywhere and suddenly everyone wants It. I’m looking at you, weird psychotic clown lovers.

Rating: 5/5.

If you’re in the mood for a long good read, try It. Hehe. No, seriously, I’ve read a long Stephen King book before (like 800 pages) and it was really good (11/22/63). This time, I really wanted to skip the movie and read the book before I actually watch it tho I was pretty scared to watch it so I wait for it to come on DVD.

Stephen King’s It is over 1000 pages long and every page is awesome. I recommended it to every friend I talked to about it.

I find horror a difficult genre. If I would have to write a horror book I don’t know if I could do it. It’s hard to write something to actually creep out the reader but I can vote this one as the first book that gave me the creeps. I was literally mouthing “man that’s creepy” when reading a few scenes so get ready for some crazy stuff. I question King’s sanity.

BUT THE KIDS MAN! THOSE KIDS ARE THE COOLEST KIDS IN LITERATURE. I loved them as a group and individually too but when they were together they just made me think of the gang in Stranger Things. I’m glad Finn Wolfhard actually plays in both of them. He fits perfectly.

I loved the turtle idea that protects them and I loved their ambition to get rid of Pennywise once and for all.

I really hope the movie is good because the one from the ’90s was extremely lame and I don’t wanna think about it again.

Anyways, if you think about reading it, I can only say YYYEEESSSSS. 100% recommended.

Just keep swimming.

Colleen Hoover just became one of my favorite writers after I’ve read It Ends With Us. I think this has been one of the most beautiful books I have ever read with its happy and sad parts you can’t doubt its beauty. You will smile, you will cry, you will rage and you will be happy again.

Rating: 5/5

I didn’t know what book I should choose so I just decided to go with this one because I could’ve bet I can’t go wrong with Colleen Hoover. But I didn’t expect it to be THIS great. I didn’t even want to go to sleep because I just needed more of it. Even though I did, the second I woke up I got back at it because I just kept thinking about it and it was my perfect company.

The characters are mature in their way of dealing with life and that makes the book even better especially when you have some expectations…I mean…Colleen Hoover raised the standard. To me, the characters in this book are unique and I’ve read enough contemporary romance books to make the difference.

You’re gonna see how smart Colleen is when it comes to the subject of abuse, it gave me the impression that it was something different than other books…or maybe the plot is just written on point. Anyways, you won’t be able to ignore your feelings.

I can’t really tell you about the plot because I don’t really know what to say about it but it was an emotional rollercoaster and sometimes I found myself very high and happy and the next few chapters I was instantly sad.

Totally recommend. If you want a good Colleen Hoover start just go on with Confess or this one. If you want to read only one book this year, let it be this one.

18 years of solitude.

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon owns my heart momentarily.

Rating: 4/5.

When you start reading it be ready to drown in cuteness. I love Madeline! I love how she deals with her “sickness” and her way of being generally. I love the conversations between Olly and her and I love her courage.

All the adventures they have actually made me want to be there too and do the same things. I think they’re one of my favorite couples in the YA world. They both have to deal with stuff but their personalities make up for any trouble they have.

What do I think of what her mom did?

That was just cruel.

I’m glad they found out she needs some treatment and a psychiatrist because I just couldn’t believe that she is serious tho’ I was glad this book can give you a glimpse of what trauma can actually do to a person. Her intention was pure but it was the wrong way of protecting everything she has left which is Madeline. Yes I was angry at her when I found out what was going on and yes I came to my senses and I began to understand her.

Carla is just awesome. She’s the type of person anyone needs in their life. So trustworthy and kind and serious about everything she does, I just loved her.

The illustrations in it are so adorable sometimes I just wanted to take a picture of them and instagram it or something. They’re the cherry on the cake.

Yes, I pretty much loved every character in this book because they’re just beautifully constructed.

I totally recommend it even if you’re gonna watch the movie or not. You HAVE to read it. Did I mention the cute illustrations in it?

RISE RED AS THE DAWN!

So I’m not really able to post a lot because my laptop broke since october and I’m kinda struggling to write posts on my phone but I feel like I really have to. And the first post of the year goes to Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard.

Rating: 5/5.

I felt so good returning to this story! Especially because I loooveeed the first one so much, I just had to read this one as soon as possible. There are just so many things happening, you wouldn’t even believe it! Victoria knew how to hit the readers. You know I post spoiler-free reviews but I gotta tell you, if you haven’t started the second one, you really should. And nothing will prepare you for it.

By the way, I’m gonna share with you guys the trailer for the third book, The King’s Cage (Click on the title of the book).

Seize them. Feel them. Love them.

Welly welly welly I’ve seen this book a lot…in bookstores, on Goodreads, on pages related to literature so I gave it a shot: K.A. Tucker’s Ten Tiny Breaths.

I missed reading some chick lit combined with romance (of course) annnnnd a drop of drama. But not a drama THIS serious. I thought of a drop of drama, something clicheic, just to add some seriousness to the romance, meh…

YEAH SURE. This was a real deal. Not just two youngsters falling in love and some complicated stuff happen. It made me believe that those events are true.

Sometimes I’m more harsh with the main character in chick flicks and romance books because they’re usually drama queens without a reason and they’re annoying as shit…but whenever I tried to think of Kacey as being overly dramatic I just kinda felt like I actually understand her and that whatever behavior she had, it was expected from her to act like that.

There’s also a crazy plot twist that amazed me and I didn’t really expect it. Congrats to Kathleena for this book. The whole plot is on point. I recommend it as an easy addictive reading.

“I could set this world on fire and call it rain”

Ah, my most recent read and the book that I keep thinking of, Victoria Aveyard’s Red Queen.

Rating: 5/5 of course.

No wonder this is a pretty popular book. It took me on a roller coaster of feelings and it has the perfect kind of adventure that I expected for such a long time.

This book turns very easily from fantasy to thriller. And that’s pretty dangerous if you’re gonna be attached to it just like I was.

When I thought at the beginning that I don’t know how this book is different from other books with conflicts between inferior and superior societies, BANG, I’ve been served some mutants…and superpowers…and wars…and rebellion…betrayals…and a love triangle (of course, of course, you can’t escape this).

I’m so curious about the sequel, I don’t know how I will resist until I get it.
