Long live king Tiberias

The moment you read the first book in the series you feel like Victoria Aveyard just got you used to awesome writing, crazy plots and unexpected types of characters and shocking events and LIFE LESSON: SHE NEVER DISAPPOINTS! So don’t talk shit about my dear Victoria because she wrote (and still writes, come on baby with the 4th book) one of the best series ever! And I should really consider buying the coloring book.

Rating: 4/5.

King’s Cage actually worried me because I haven’t seen any hope for Mare. I could not imagine any means to escape him. He’s a controlled psycho. He doesn’t really want to do all the stuff he does but he can’t help it and he just needs to be saved from himself. I know Cal’s plan is to help his brother and he actually expected Mare to follow but…oh man…I would’ve shocked Cal a little for that (I’m more of an every-man-for-himself kind of person).

Mare is one of the strongest book characters I’ve met. I admire her from every point of view and I don’t know what I would do if I would be in her place. She’s strong, capable, smart, mature and young. Too young to deal with all of this but look at her still kicking ass and that should be empowering for every girl. She does what she has to do and she is doing it well.

If you have read the first 2 books this is your sign to get this book and read it as soon as possible! You can’t possibly live with the action from the second book so I’m telling you you must read this madness.

I kinda wished this one had more of a typical ending (which isn’t something that happens often) but I just love Mare so I thought that she deserves so much better than to be left again tho’ I tried to understand Cal too.

In the end, everybody stands for what they believe.

Frankenstein is THE DOCTOR!

For halloween I saved a place for a creepy book that would suit this holiday and I decided to go for  Frankenstein. I couldn’t be more dissapointed, I’m serious. I ruined my halloween reading joy.

Rating: doesn’t even deserve a 1 but I will give it 1/5.

If there is someone out there considering this book a masterpiece and an awesome classic, please convince me or just let me know what makes you think that.

I know I’m not a fan of classics or whatever but some of them are really good. I wanted to be freaked out by a story written in that classic old style. Something like Poe. But I just forced myself to finish it just because I wanted to give it a bad rating so people that are like me can find out some bad reviews too, not only the good words about it.

Besides the fact that the descriptions were awful, a paragraph written only about how the wind blows and how Frankenstein feels it, the story isn’t scary, man. It doesn’t have a drop of darkness in it that you can call “creepy”. Some crimes commited by the monster are not enough to make this book a horror one. Look at Stephen King, if he would’ve written it some crazy stuff would’ve happened. Not just deaths of people Frankenstein knew.

I appreciate Mary’s ambition to write a creepy book at 18 years old but this was so bad and awfully boring, I don’t even have words. It took me 5 days to finish it and it doesn’t even have 200 pages.

If you haven’t read it yet, you can go for it but embrace yourself for major boredom.

Seize them. Feel them. Love them.

Welly welly welly I’ve seen this book a lot…in bookstores, on Goodreads, on pages related to literature so I gave it a shot: K.A. Tucker’s Ten Tiny Breaths.

I missed reading some chick lit combined with romance (of course) annnnnd a drop of drama. But not a drama THIS serious. I thought of a drop of drama, something clicheic, just to add some seriousness to the romance, meh…

YEAH SURE. This was a real deal. Not just two youngsters falling in love and some complicated stuff happen. It made me believe that those events are true.

Sometimes I’m more harsh with the main character in chick flicks and romance books because they’re usually drama queens without a reason and they’re annoying as shit…but whenever I tried to think of Kacey as being overly dramatic I just kinda felt like I actually understand her and that whatever behavior she had, it was expected from her to act like that.

There’s also a crazy plot twist that amazed me and I didn’t really expect it. Congrats to Kathleena for this book. The whole plot is on point. I recommend it as an easy addictive reading.
